How A Piece Of Legislation Will Change Transportation...

Did you know there are still some people who do not know that, the Associated General Contractors of America are fighting for this country's transportation needs.

Show me the money! The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), are going to make it plain and simple to congress when they decide in Sept 2009 on transportation authorization what this nation's transportation needs are, and what it'll take to fund them. They plan to let congress know it's more than meets the eye.
"This will be the most important piece of legislation to impact the highway construction industry for the next six years," says Brian Deery, the senior director of AGC's Highway and Transportation Division. "We are hoping for a reauthorization of $500 billion.
When it's all said and done, I hope congress's proxy will be approval; the decision is for a significant increase over the current $286-billion safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users, signed by President George W. Bush on Aug 10 2005.

Safety tip of the day: take it from me hitting an object while backing is a primary cause of property damage accidents. The following techniques will minimize the potential for backing accidents:
1.Plan ahead and avoid backing whenever possible.
2.Make sure the path the vehicle will take while backing is clear of obstacles.
3. Keep your windows clean.
4.Check the path repeatedly.
5. Honk the horn.
6. Check the mirrors.
